Dr. Kai Lindemann has been leading work in the area of employment and industrial relations in the Policy department of the German Trade Union Federation since 2016. Prior to that, he was managing editor of the Federation’s online journal Gegenblende, where he organised debates on the future of society with civil society organisations. In the Policy department, his areas of responsibility include the transformation of the working world, sustainability, socio-ecological modernisation, knowledge transfer, and programme work. Lindemann has a PhD in political science and has worked at the Universities of Frankfurt am Main and Bremen. He has worked for the German Trade Union Federation in various capacities since 2003.
He is a member of the steering committee of the Science Platform Sustainability 2030 and a member of the working group on the Future of Employment.
