Prof. Markus Vogt has been Professor of Christian Social Ethics at Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich since 2007. His research focuses on the anthropological and socio-philosophical foundations of ethics, environmental ethics and the theory of sustainability as well as on economic ethics and theories of justice. Vogt has been a member of the working group on ecological questions of Commission VI of the German Bishops Conference since 1995 and a member and spokesperson of the Bavarian State Government’s Council of Experts on Bioeconomics since 2016.

He is a member of the steering committee of the Science Platform Sustainability 2030 and a member of the working group on Sustainable Consumption.
